This survey has been designed to investigate how people from different ages, genders and cultures perceive the Self Assessment Manikins. Using the pull-down menu below each set of manikins, indicate which of the four descriptions on the right matches the manikins on the left the most.


A. Predictable vs. surprised or unpredictable. At one extreme of this scale you feel predictable. You feel completely predictable while viewing the far left of the scale. At the other extreme of this scale, you feel completely surprised or unpredictable.


B. Controlled vs. in-control. At one end of scale you have feelings characterized as completely controlled, and influenced. You feel completely controlled while viewing the picture on the far left whereas you feel completely influential, important, and dominant by viewing the picture on the far right. Note that when the figure is larger, you feel important. The figure is small when you feel controlled.


C. Happy vs. unhappy ranging from a smile to a frown. At one extreme of this scale you feel happy, and pleased. You feel completely happy while viewing the picture on the far right whereas at the far left you feel completely unhappy, and annoyed.


D. Excited vs. calm. At one extreme you feel stimulated, exited, frenzied, wide-awake, and aroused. You feel completely aroused while viewing the picture on the far right, whereas at the far left you feel completely relaxed, calm, dull, sleepy and unaroused.
